Welcome to Eco Association’s monthly newsletter, where we cover Eco Protocol and community developments, updates and announcements.
Let’s get to it!
Accelerate how money moves with Eco Protocol
Eco Inc.’s CMO, Jay Kurahashi-Sofue, shared how the team elevated Bend’s presence at FWB FEST 24, standing out alongside partners like Uniswap, Optimism, and Worldcoin—all with just a $5k budget.
The goal was to create useful and memorable items that fit the festival’s summer camp vibe, so the team created 1,000 Bend Mosquito Repellent Bands, 300 FWB FEST x Bend Campfire Mugs, 60 Bend Air Sofas, and 25 Bend Disposable Cameras.
These items became part of the festival experience—attendees wore the mosquito bands, used the campfire mugs, lounged on air sofas, and captured memories with the cameras.
With over 1,000 in-person impressions and 42k digital impressions, the items helped cement Bend as FWB FEST 24’s official payment partner.
More importantly, Bend helped merchants save 3% on every transaction by streamlining stablecoin payments on Base and Optimism, ensuring a smooth and efficient payment experience.

Protocol Governance ⚖️
Work toward the Eco Protocol relaunch continues! Last month, we announced the Protocol redesign and an Eco brand refresh, both focused on simplifying cross-chain payments with stablecoins.
Things are on track to finalize the full system design, and are gearing up for the betanet launch in Q4. If you missed an update or want to join the conversation, check out the latest discussions on the Eco Governance Forum.

Pfft, $5K. In one project, with 5K EcoX as part of a Sub-DAO, I didn’t take a penny from the budget, yet I managed to gift several names in bender wallet, create transactions, buy a computer mouse, go to a café with my son, and organize giveaways while introducing Bend Wallet before Beam to the Shegby community. Later, they participated in a poker tournament and bought beam names.
Soon, I will write the memoirs of Persephone, which will consist of 10 nocturnes and 13 postcards."
